Open Call 2027

The Scent + Art Festival 2027 will take place in Riga, Latvia from June 18-20.


The festival brings together artists, researchers, and cultural practitioners exploring scent as a medium in contemporary art, music, dance, performance, literature, science, and technology.

The program focuses on multisensory and cross-modal experiences, examing how smell interacts with sound, text, image, movement, and memory to expand perception and artistic engagement.

The central focus on the 2027 edition is accessibility and inclusion, particularly creating meaningful experiences for visually impaired audiences through scent, sound, touch and spatial perception.

Participants may join in person, remotely, or through satellite events worldwide, continuing the festival’s international network that included over 100 participants from 32 countries in 2026.
